🏑 How to list a space on Spleet

  • Visit https://spleet.africa/
  • Click on 'For Landlords', then click 'List Your Space'.
  • Create an account, if you haven't do so already. If you have an account, login as a Host.
  • You will be redirected to your host dashboard. Click on 'Listings'
  • Follow the prompts and fill in your space details and booking information.
  • Complete your KYC by uploading the required documents and proof of identification.
  • Submit your space for approval.
  • You will be notified when your space has been reviewed and approved.

🏑 How to rent an apartment on Spleet

  • Go to https://spleet.africa/
  • Type your desired location in the search box to see available listings in that area.
  • Refine your search by using the price, apartment type and duration filters to select the type of space you'd like.
  • When you find an apartment you like, create a Spleet account if you haven't done so already.
  • Schedule a viewing date to see the apartment in person using the 'book viewing' button.
  • After viewing the apartment, return to your member dashboard to pay for your subscription.

  • Log in to your Spleet account or create an account, if you haven't done so.
  • Select an apartment of choice from the marketplace.
  • Click on 'book viewing'.
  • Select a preferred day and time and click 'confirm viewing'.
  • A member of our customer success team will be in touch to confirm viewing schedules.

🏑 What payments are made other than the rent?

  • Your first month subscription payment covers the cost of rent, a one-time security deposit, a one-time booking fee, the service fee and VAT.
  • Subsequent subscription payments covers the cost of rent, service fee and VAT.

🏑 What are these payments for?

  • Service Fee: If a service fee is added to your subscription cost, it covers the cost of cooking gas, power, estate dues, waste disposal, security, maintenance and repairs for the duration of your stay.
  • Security Deposit: The security deposit is a refundable amount set by the host or homeowner payable by the member to cover rent default and/or damage to property. This amount is refunded to the member at the end of their subscription if there is no rent default or damage to the property.
  • Booking Fee: This is a one-time platform service fee for a new booking.

🏑 What is Spleet's rent payment structure?

  • Spleet offers flexible payment options including monthly, quarterly, biannual or annual payments. Please note that not all spaces can be paid for monthly or quarterly. The host/landlord decides the payment options for each apartment.

🏑 How to lodge a maintenance request

The maintenance request tool is available to Spleet members to lodge repairs or related complaints in their living spaces.

  • Visit https://spleet.africa/ and login to your member dashboard.
  • Click on 'maintenance' on the sidebar of your dashboard.
  • Click on 'new request'.
  • Fill out the maintenance request form. Provide specific details and any information that can help the facility management team. You can also upload pictures to the form.
  • Provide three dates and time slots you would be available for a visit.
  • Submit the form.
  • A member of the facility management team will reach out to you to resolve your the issue.

🏑 How to request tenant verification

Spleet Verify is a tenant verification and due diligence check tool for landlords and agents in Nigeria. Follow these easy steps to verify a potential tenant.

  • Visit https://spleet.africa/
  • Create an account, if you haven't do so already. If you have an account, login as a Host.
  • On your Host dashboard, click on 'verify tenants'.
  • Click on 'new request'.
  • You'll be required to input the tenant's details.
  • Choose a preferred payment plan from the options available.
  • Once this is complete, a verification request will be sent to the prospective tenant and you’ll be informed when the process is completed.
