Our Favourite Nigerian Home Tours on YouTube

My favourite thing to do on YouTube is watching home tours. I love to see what other people's living spaces look like, know what the decor inspiration was, if they DIY-ed the design pieces or shopped for them and where from. I particularly love to watch Nigerian home tours because it's easier to recreate the decor style and most times, YouTubers are kind enough to share vendors that they worked with.

From Dimma Umeh to ThisThingCalledFashion, here are my top four Nigerian home tours on YouTube.

  1. Dimma Umeh: With 500k views and counting, everyone you know has seen Dimma Umeh's apartment tour on YouTube. With neutral tones and sparks of colour from plants and furniture, this house looks like it walked out of Pinterest. Watch here.

2. Kamsi Nnamani: I recently subscribed to Kamsi's YouTube after watching her bedroom makeover. Her space is made up of neutral tones - white and brown. I love the ladder shelf which not only serves as storage but also as design as well as the tree stump nightstand.  Watch here.

3. Valerie Egbuniwe: Valerie's bedroom decor style is modern minimalist with earth-toned aesthetics and I love it. Her space is very cosy and her decor pieces are functional yet aesthetic. Watch here.

4. This Thing Called Fashion: What I love the most about Nonye's room is her bed frame made from pallets. As with most of the YouTubers on this list, white Eames chairs made an appearance in this apartment tour. It's definitely an aesthetically pleasing room, Nonye has excellent styling taste and I wasn't expecting anything less from her living space. Watch here.
